Week 1 - Introduction to the Endocannabinoidome and Endocannabinoid system.

Week 2 - Didactics - Endocannabinoidome

Here we explore the didactics to gain an understanding of the interaction of the phytocannabinoids and terpenes that we will be focusing on later in the module to balance the network, which is the Endocannabinoidome. The endocannabinoidome is the ever expanding viewpoint of the intricate networks of enzymes, genes, receptors and endocannabinoids interacting in a matrix that is ever changing.

Week 3: Detection - Endocannabinoid Tone

The detection and correction of endocannabinoid tone provides subsequent support to symptom imbalance using Medicinal Cannabis. Here we explore the theory of Endocannabinoid tone and its subsequent impact on health and how this can be supported by the use of Cannabis based medicine.

Week 4: Correction - Cannabis Medicine & Cannabinoids

Clinical support for Endocannabinoid tone, Cannabinoids, and Misconceptions in cannabis. Here we explore the history of cannabis. We look in detail at all the cannabinoids and their therapeutic actions and the common misconceptions surrounding cannabis-based medicine.

Week 5 - Correction - Terpenes and The Entourage Effect

Terpenes and the Entourage Effect. Here we explore the therapeutic benefits of Terpenes individually and the concept of the entourage effect. Here the combined cannabinoids and terpenes intermingle in the human body to modify the effects of one another, creating an overall different, or “greater,” efficacy. The entourage effect with examples and each major terpene and its individual benefits will be detailed as we go through the lesson.


Week 6 - Correction - Manufacture, Extraction and Consumer Products

Cannabis Extraction, Manufacture, and Consumer Products. Here we discuss the extraction and manufacture of cannabis and the impacts on the medicinal effects among other aspects. We also discuss the forms in which cannabis can be found as well as the ever-evolving consumer market, what to be aware of when it comes to advising clients, and critically analyzing the products for safety and efficacy.


Week 7 - Correction - Posology and Prescription

In posology and prescribing we look at the nuances of prescribing cannabis, what you need to know to recommend and prescribe to clients. You learn the details this very unique medicine requires for prescriptive sass and ongoing monitoring.
