Who is Dr. Matty Moore?
Dr. Matty Moore is an internationally-trained GP/ED physician, with work experience all over Australia. He sees patients through MODE Healthcare Australia-wide, and in person in Dunsborough, Western Australia. He specializes in primary care and in the treatment of chronic, pain, chronic illness, mental health, and more.
Dr. Matty is one of Australia's first authorized prescribers of medicinal cannabis. His interest in medical cannabis stems from the movements and acceptance of its properties in the United States and around the world. He was looking for alternative treatments for several conditions whose management became quite stagnant and frustrating.
After government legislation in 2016 allowed GPs to prescribe cannabis, Dr. Matty began to educate himself on the history of cannabis, the cannabis plant, and the endocannabinoid system. The clinical applications are exciting, and as we amass the data needed to turn the tide, Dr. Matty has decided to join the fight against the age-old propaganda and embrace this plant and its healing properties.
